Hard Workers

Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all

We believe in our initiative the importance of everyone getting a decent education, regardless of their age or school stage

  • Better education contributes to better job opportunities
  • A good education for women is a good education for future generations.
SDG Goals | Goal 4 : Quality EDucation

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

Every women and girl has the right to lead a life of her own, where she can have access to all opportunities in life

  • Eliminating all forms of discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, it is also a critical factor in accelerating the achievement of sustainable development.
  • Women in the Arab region face significant barriers to entering the labor market, and are at a much greater risk of unemployment than men.
  • Provident mollitia neque rerum asperiores dolores quos qui a. Ipsum neque dolor voluptate nisi sed.
  • Sexual violence and exploitation, the unequal burden of domestic work and unpaid care work, and discrimination in public office remain huge barriers to achieving gender equality.
SDG Goals | Goal 5 : Gender Equality

Decent work and economic growth

Despite the continuing impact of the 2008 economic crisis and global recession, the number of workers living in extreme poverty has decreased dramatically over the past 25 years. Today in developing countries the middle class makes up more than 34 percent of the total workforce - a number that nearly tripled between 1991 and 2015.

  • There is a significant shortage of more women than men in the workforce - 85 million compared to 55 million.
  • Women's participation in the workforce was 48 percent in 2018, compared to 75 percent for men. About 3 out of 5 out of 3.5 billion people in the workforce in 2018 were men.
SDG Goals | Goal 8 : Decent Work and Economic growth

Reducing inequalities

The evidence has documented evidence of increasingly high rates of income inequality, with the richest 10 percent of the world's population earning up to 40 percent of total global income while the poorest 10 percent earning between 2 percent and only 7 percent of total Global income.

  • Women have as much access to financial services as men in only 60% of the countries assessed and land ownership in only 42% of the countries assessed.
  • 75/5000 Women spend, on average, twice as much time as men on unpaid housework.
SDG Goals | Goal 10 : Reduced Inequalities

A thousands miles journey starts with one step. I believe that "she initiative" is the step one towards empowering middle-aged women in Syria and Arab region in general; through workshops, events, sharing opportunities, and more. They already formed out their long and short term goals. They know the way, they walk in it. Where having a vision is what matter eventually; A vision where today's women are tomorrow's leaders.

Nothing matters more than giving real hopes and economic opportunities to those who need them. Investing in women’s learning & development is a problem that matters. She-initiative is solving for that by moving beyond good intentions to impactful actions, which lead to meaningful careers and lives of purpose.
